Client overview

The Client

Next Gen Dental is a family-run denture clinic in Campbellfield, Melbourne that combines a patient-focused practice with a precision in-house dental laboratory under one roof, managing every step from consultation to final fit. The clinic delivers full conventional dentures, partial dentures, implant-supported dentures, mouthguards, immediate dentures and emergency repairs/relines.

As a new practice entering a competitive Northern Melbourne market, Next Gen Dental needed a professional digital presence that reflected clinical quality, built trust with an older demographic and captured booked consultations from day one.

Next Gen Dental live homepage at nextgendental.com.au — teal hero, “Your Perfect Smile Starts Here” headline, logo and Book an Appointment call-to-action.

The Challenge

Next Gen Dental engaged PMGS without an existing production website. In a category dominated by generic templates, slow-loading pages and weak local signals, the clinic needed a purpose-built platform, not a brochure.

The denture audience skews older, so WCAG-aligned accessibility, readable typography and zero layout shift were non-negotiable. With six distinct services to present, information architecture had to be airtight so visitors could self-select treatment and reach a booking CTA without friction. The team also needed hosting, DNS, WordPress CMS and plugin stack configured for long-term in-house maintenance.

Problem Summary

  • No online booking pathway — zero digital funnel for consultations
  • Older audience trust gap — needed visible NAP, phone and clinic photography
  • Complex six-service catalogue requiring dedicated landing pages
  • Accessibility and performance risk for an older audience

The PMGS Strategy

PMGS delivered an end-to-end web design engagement: discovery, IA, visual design, WordPress build, on-page SEO, hosting and launch. The creative direction used a calming teal-and-white palette, whitespace, lifestyle photography and a dominant "Book an Appointment" CTA repeated across header, hero, mid-page and footer.

Information architecture was structured around patient intent, with four primary services surfaced as homepage cards and deeper services in the nav and footer. A four-step "How It Works" module (Free Consult → Denture Trial → Final Fitting → Ongoing Support) demystifies the treatment journey.

Technical SEO was baked in: semantic headings, metadata, consistent NAP footer (Unit 26/85 Cooper Street, Campbellfield, VIC 3061 + 03 7302 0722), tel:/mailto: links, and a lean WordPress theme tuned for Core Web Vitals. A homepage FAQ captures long-tail and voice queries around scheduling, insurance and emergency care.

Strategy Pillars

  1. 1. Patient-First UX

Clear hero promise, single dominant CTA, trust-building About block above the fold.

  2. 2. Service Architecture

Dedicated landing page per denture service.

  3. 3. Accessible Design System

Semantic markup, large tap targets, 91/100 Accessibility at launch.

  4. 4. Performance-First Build

50 ms TBT and 0.005 CLS on desktop.

  5. 5. Local SEO Foundation

Consistent NAP, tel:/mailto: links, Campbellfield on-page signals.

  6. 6. Conversion Infrastructure

"Book an Appointment" repeated header → footer.

The Results

The Next Gen Dental web design project delivered a launch-ready, accessible, performance-tuned website in five weeks — with verified PageSpeed Insights metrics captured on launch day (Apr 2026, Lighthouse 13.0.1). The headline result: a 91/100 Accessibility score on a denture clinic site where older patients are the core audience.

91/100 Accessibility | 81/100 Desktop Performance | 2.3 s LCP Desktop | 0.005 CLS Desktop | 50 ms TBT Desktop | 0 ms TBT Mobile

Detailed results

  • Accessibility score of 91/100 at launch (up from 0 — no prior site to measure), delivered through semantic markup, large tap targets and considered colour contrast across every page.
  • Desktop Largest Contentful Paint of 2.3 seconds, inside Google's "Good" Core Web Vitals threshold of 2.5 s, meaning the hero image and headline render before patients lose interest.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.005 on desktop and 0.002 on mobile — effectively zero visual jitter against a "Good" threshold of 0.1, a critical trust signal for an older demographic.
  • Total Blocking Time of 0 ms on mobile and 50 ms on desktop against a 200 ms "Good" threshold — every tap and click registers instantly on lower-powered devices.
  • First Contentful Paint of 1.2 s desktop and Speed Index of 2.3 s desktop — first-pixel render well inside Google's "Good" band on launch-day audit.
  • Production-ready site shipped in 5 weeks: 1 homepage, 6 service pages (Full Conventional, Partial, Implant-Supported, Mouthguards, Immediate Dentures, Emergency Repairs/Relines), About, For Dentists, Contact and Booking — plus footer-linked SEO infrastructure.

Visual evidence

  • Before/after screenshots: blank nextgendental.com.au domain vs live homepage with teal hero, service cards and booking CTA
  • PageSpeed Insights dashboard screenshots (Desktop 81/100 and Mobile 59/100 with full Core Web Vitals breakdown)
  • Accessibility score card showing 91/100 with contrast and link-naming audit trail
  • Mobile and desktop filmstrip thumbnails confirming 0.002–0.005 CLS across the load sequence

What the Client Says

PMGS turned our brief into a site that feels as considered as the clinical work we do. Patients are booking directly through the website, and older patients specifically mention how easy it is to read and use.
